This is a catalogue published in conjunction with the solo exhibition of Yayoi Kusama in the Japan Pavilion of the 45th Venice Biennale. The works presented here, ranging from paintings and three-dimensional objects to happenings, span a period of over 30 years, from her early sixties period in New York to the early 1990s. They are intended to provide an understanding of the overall quality of Kusama’s art. The catalogue includes a biography of the artist.
