The early years of the Symposion were pioneer years, not only for the sculptors but also for the administartors in our department for the Arts…
… Last year a new venture was tried. Five Japanese sculptors came and decided to collaborate on a project. with energy and determination they undertook the task of creating a work esablishing a relationship between the quarry itself and the sculptures on display there. With the publication of a catalogue describing this experiment, I hope thet the plan, to provide a meaningful explanation so enthusiastically started, may meet with succescc.
