Knjiga sadrži materijale koji nisu obuhvaćeni tradicionalnim udžbenicima, ali su potrebni za rješavanje šireg spektra problema koji nije ograničen na samo proučavanje svojstava molekularnih sustava. U prvom redu to se odnosi na elektron i fononske plinove. Iako ovaj materijal ne mora nužno biti dio postojećeg nastavnog plana i programa, preporučuje se kao izborno štivo jer učeniku daje bolju predodžbu o distribuciji u statističkom opisu pojave. Ova se knjiga temelji na tečaju predavanja koje je održavao autor Lomonosov dugi niz godina na Moskovskom Državnom Sveučilištu.
Knjigu je s ruskog na engleski prevela Natasha Deineko i Ram Wadhwa. Engleska verzija prvi put je objavljena 1985.
About the book
The book also contains material not covered by
traditional courses but required for solving a wider range of
problems than just the study of the properties of molecular
systems. In the first place this applies to the electron and
phonon gases. Although this material does not necessarily
form a part of the existing curriculum, it is recommended as
an optional reading since it gives the student a better idea
about the distribution in the statistical description of
phenomena.
This book is based on the course of lectures delivered by
the author for many years at the Lomonosov Moscow State
University.
The book was translated from the Russian by by Natasha Deineko
and Ram Wadhwa. The English version was first published in 1985.
